Discovery FX

⚠ Flagged on the register · High risk

We checked Discovery FX against the AskCheck register. It has been reported (2022) and carries the red flags below. Treat it with extreme caution.

Why it’s flagged

⚑ Unregulated / unlicensed
Named in relation to NFA (U.S.)Named in relation to CFTC (U.S.)

What we found

Discovery FX claims to be registered with Money Services Businesses (MSBs) ID.31000159574899 issued by the United States FinCEN. However, FinCEN does not regulate forex markets nor does it issue licenses for brokers engaging in such activities. So FinCEN-registered broker is not a regulated broker in the US. Besides, the US regulatory framework is deemed as one of the world's strictest. A US-licensed forex broker should be approved by the US Futures Association (NFA) or the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). However, we didn't find any result matching this broker from the registers of NFA and CFTC. So Discovery FX is not overseen by any regulator. That means investors' funds in this broker are unsafe and cannot be protected by any law. Therefore, it is a scam.

What to do next

  1. Stop sending money. Don’t make another deposit, pay a “tax” or “release fee”, or share remote-access to your device.
  2. Gather your evidence. Save statements, chat logs, transaction IDs and the wallet addresses you paid to.
  3. Report it to your regulator and to local police / action-fraud line so it’s on the official record.
  4. Add your report here so the next person searching this name is warned — report Discovery FX.
  5. Verify on the register. Cross-check the full entry on the SentFunds register before you trust anyone offering to help.
Beware recovery scams. After a loss, fraudsters often return posing as “recovery agents” who guarantee your money back for an up-front fee. AskCheck is a free public checker — we don’t recover funds and we don’t guarantee funds can be recovered. Never pay anyone who promises a guaranteed recovery.
